SOFTWARE (SW )

DEFINITION .

The software or programs refer to the intangible or logic computer equipment , is the one to make tasks easier handling physical devices (hardware).

TYPES .

Software from the standpoint of utility can be classified into:

• SW . Applicative . all programs are used to perform a specific task such as editing documents , drawing pictures , playing etc . Examples of these have the office software ( text editors , host of ideas, spreadsheets, etc. ) drawing program (Paint , Photo shop , Corel Draw, AutoCAD , etc. ) games ( minesweeper , solitaire , age of empires , etc. )

• SW . Development . are programming languages that allow to give instructions and orders to the computer equipment or create other programs to do so. Examples of these are:

or High level languages ( C , Visual Basic, Java)

or medium level ( Basic, Logo , Fox Pro , Access)

or low level ( assembly language )

• SW . The system . Also called operating system (OS ) is the most important because it allows programs to synchronize and manipulate all resources ( physical and logical ) of computer equipment . They can be so character or graphics mode These have facilitated that anyone can handle computer equipment without complications as the OS currently offer a graphical and intuitive that from windows and icons that provide a lot of ease to work with information . Examples of these are:

Has the common structure in graphical mode OS which means it has intuitive tools such as desktop icons, windows and folders ( for storing and organizing files logically and documents)

COMPONENTS

Desktop . This is the start element to allow users ( pretending to be an office desk ) to have access to all the tools , programs and files on your computer.

Icons. These represent graphically the tools, programs and documents in the computer equipment that makes it easier to recognize access to any element you want to work . The icons can be seen in both the desktop and menus, or even in the toolbars of programs.

Taskbar. Is located at the bottom of the screen. We can see from this bar visual thumbnail of the programs or windows that are open at the time , no matter whether they are minimized or assets in the background . At the end of the taskbar should be the clock and notification icons OS But the most important component of this bar is mentioned below:

• Button Start. It is located on the bottom - left of the screen. By clicking on will have access to :

Search Box . To find programs or files which we know its name but not its location on your computer .

All Programs . To display all Installed applications on the computer .

Shortcuts . A recently used programs on the computer .

User , Documents, Pictures and Music . To access the stored information created and / or edited by users of the computer equipment.

equipment . To view the physical and logical drives that store internal or external to computer equipment (hard drive , USB memory, CD or DVD )

Control Panel , Devices and Printers , Default Programs , Help and Support . Provides access to hardware settings and software on the computer equipment.

Docs Bar. It is usually located on the top of the desktop (but can move and settle in another part of the screen) this tool allows access to programs or files that can be assigned to user preference team. Can determinársele like a bar of "favorites" in the Windows desktop.

Gadgets. They are small applications that allow users to observe computer equipment information like calendar, clock, weather, slide shows, with different shapes and styles of presentation, also easily configurable by users.
